FREEDOM FEST ANNOUNCES AMERICAN ROAN
HORSE ASSOCIATION CLASSES
The
Iowa Freedom Fest Shows, held June
30-July 5, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa will
include American Roan Horse Association
approved classes with their AQHA/NSBA
Dual-Approved set of shows this summer.
The ARHA
will be adding money to several classes
to reward the popular roan horses
performing at these shows. To be
eligible for the added money purse,
horses must be registered with the
American Roan Horse Association and
exhibitors must be ARHA members at least
15 days prior to the show (June 30). The
amount of payback of the added money is
based on the number of eligible horses
in the class.
Classes
held during the Split/Combined Shows
Thursday/Friday and Sunday/Monday will
offer a total purse of $3,350 divided
among the following classes: Senior
Trail, Junior Western Pleasure, Youth
14-18 Western Pleasure, Senior Western
Pleasure, and Amateur Western Pleasure.
Classes held on Monday, July 5 with ARHA
Added Money include: Open Yearling Longe
Line and Junior Hunter Under Saddle.
There will also be a High Point Roan
Halter, Mare or Gelding, award.
The
Freedom Fest circuit includes five AQHA
approved shows, with two NSBA
dual-approved days with NSBA Stallion
Incentive Classes featuring $2500 in
purse money, and an AQHA all novice and
open show on Saturday. The Iowa Amateurs
plan a hog roast and the Iowa Youth will
hold their 2nd annual Dodgeball
tournament. This show has earned its
reputation of being the “FUN” show of
the summer.
The AQHA
All Novice Show on Saturday can earn
exhibitors from the AQHA Region 3 a free
entry invitation to the 2010 Region 3
